Funeral services for Evelyn Blankenstein Kaiser Hughes, 82, of Tupelo formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Tupelo, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hughes was born June 15, 1932 in Natchez, the daughter of Loyd Andrew Kaiser and Evelyn Frances Blankenstein. She was a member of St. Mary Basilica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William G. Hughes, sister, Leona Dawes, and four brothers, Lloyd Kaiser, Sheldon Kaiser, Edward Wise Kaiser, and Kenneth Kaiser.

Survivors include two daughters: Sarah Hamilton and husband, Noah, of Tupelo and Rachel Accilli and husband, Steve, of Cornwall, NY; one son: William Hughes and wife, Kristin, of Roundhill, VA; ten grandchildren: Catherine, Emily, Hugh, and Jack Hamilton, Hannah Accilli, Billy, Jack, Alec, Henry, and Grey Hughes; and a number of nieces and nephews.
