Henry Denny, age 45, and single, was murdered in his room at Middletown, Ohio, Wednesday night, being struck on the head with a club. It is supposed that a colored man, who had been working for Denny, who was a contractor, had something to do with the murder, but the police have been unable to find him. Henry Denny was a son of Elijah D. Denney and wife of Bellefontaine, and his remains were taken to their home Friday. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Traverce Harrison, and burial was made at the Mt. Zion cemetery.
