In the Clay County Wills and Probate Records, 1774-1989 there is an Administrator's Bond record and John F. Young was appointed to settle Menan's affairs on Aug. 4, 1853.

Suggested edit: His name was Menan (named after the grandson of King David in the Bible). It was often misspelled in the records).
