Mrs. Antonia Adamek Kaspar was born Jan. 3, 1879, to Frank and Anna Cerny Adamek in Hlinsko county, Chrudin state, Czechoslovakia. At the age of 5 years she came with the family to America in 1884 and to Valley county which was her home until her death at the age of 62 years 1 month and 27 days.
Oct 21, 1901 she was married to Ed Kasper. To this union ten children were born, three dying in infancy;a son Josef & two daughters.
Her husband passed away Nov 21, 1939. The surviving children are Mrs. Sophie Sobotka, Ed Kasper Jr.,Mary Kasper, Mrs Rose Babka, George and Mildred Kasper all of Ord.
Also surviuving are five brothers; Frank J., Anton and William of Ord; Joe of LaJunta Colo. and James of Omaha. Also two sisters Mrs Anna Jones of Great Falls MT. and Mary Petska of Ord. Also two grandchildren.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Ord Methodist Church, with Rev. Clarence Jensen Of the Bethany Lutheran Church in charge. Mrs Mark Tolen, Mrs E O Carlson, Robert Noll and J.R. Stoltz sang two selections and Mrs Tolen sang the solo :Going Home", with Mrs Noll at the piano. The pall bearers were Ed, Paul, Bill and Emil Adamek and Richard and LaVern Petska. Burial was in the Ord Cemetery.
