Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Seaney Observe Golden Anniversary Sunday
Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Seaney of Erick, Okla., celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday, December 21, with a dinner in their home east of Erick, and open house from two until six o'clock.
Mr. Seaney, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Seaney of Richmond, Indiana, and Mrs. Seaney, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Anthony of Era, Texas, were married at the bride's home December 22, 1897.
To this union was born seven children, five daughters and two sons, all of whom attended the festive occasion. They are as follows: Mrs. Tressie Duncan, Silverton, Texas; George Seaney, Silverton, Tex.; Elma Seaney, Morton, Texas; and Alma Johnson, San Leandro, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith, Erick; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Maxwell, Erick; Mr. and Mrs. Alba Paddack, Sayre.
They have seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom were present but six.
They are: Grandchildren: Walter Bradley, Dona Leta Garrison, Cecil Seaney, Roy Dean, Don Seaney, Thayer Johnson, Naida Johnson, Mathie Johnson, Gayle Pennington, Claudette Hay.
Grant grandchildren: Paty Bradley, J. M. Bradley, Carolyn Garrison, Max Dee Garrison.
The grandchildren not attending were: Betty Joy Pennington, Kenneth Pennington, Rodney Lowley, Donald Lowley, Raymond Bradley, Lloyd Hay.
P.J. Seaney Dies Friday in Texas

Funeral services for Perry Jacob Seaney, Erick, who died Friday following a weeks illness at the home of his son in Silverton, Texas, were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the First Methodist church of Erick with Reverend Roy Dean Seaney and Reverend Joe Hazlett officiating.
Mr. Seaney born July 11, 1875 at Boston, Indiana was married to Mattie Bell Anthony, at Era, Texas, December 2, 1896 (sic).
Residents in Texas until 1902 they homesteaded in the Hext community. A retired farmer, he is a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife of the home address; five daugthers, Mrs. E.J. Duncan, Silverton, Texas, Mrs. J. D. Johnson, Erick, Mrs. Evalee Pennington, Exter, California, Mrs. G. L. Rawley, Crombera, California, Mrs. C. Hay, Linden, California; two sons, G. W., Silverton, Texas, E. E., Morton, Texas; one brother, Leslie Earl Seaney, Richmond, Indiana, seventeen grandchildren and 17 great grand children.
Interment will be in the Erick cemetery with Fatheree-Albert funeral home in charge of arrangments.
