Elizabeth Dame Pennington was born December 3, 1863, in Tennessee, and died November 26, 1936 at her home near Erick, Oklahoma. She was married to W.T. Pennington on February 1, 1877, and to this union ten children were born, five of whom preceded her in death.
Mr. and Mrs. Pennington moved to the Choctaw community near Erick in 1920, where they have resided since that time. She united with the Primitive Baptist church 56 years ago, and at the time of her death was a faithful member of the Folis Baptist church near Erick.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her husband and the following children, R.R. Pennington and Julie Morgan of Erick, Lillie Romans of Foss, R.S. Pennington of Haskell and Lina Brooks of Chickasha.
