Richard “Rich” Harold Gorbey, Jr., 61, of Rivesville, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Rich was born in Warren, OH on August 9, 1953, the son of the late Richard Harold Gorbey, Sr. and Doris Marie Carpenter Gorbey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Ammons Gorbey.

Rich enjoyed hunting, woodworking, running derby cars, playing bingo and spending time with his family. He loved to bake and cook and also enjoyed sitting on his aunt and uncle's porch watching the deer and turkeys. He attended Rivesville High School and worked as an assembler at Walmart.

In addition to his wife, Rich is survived by his daughter, Kala Ann Gorbey Moore and her husband Steven Moore, Jr. of Rivesville; a granddaughter, two sisters, Michelena “Mickey” Runyan and her husband John of Baxter and Shelly Kay Phillips and her husband Charlie of Barrackville; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Holt and her husband Russell and Tacie LaGace and her husband Bruce, both of Texas; several aunts and uncles as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Sue Runyan.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Rivesville, WV. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015, with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. A committal service will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.
