DANE/MADISON — Gary J. Goeden, age 29, died on July 23, 1987, in the National Glacier Park, Montana, while hiking. He was born to Rodney and Louise Goeden on February 4, 1958 in Dane, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Waunakee High School in 1976 and from UW-Madison in 1982. He was a past employee of the Inn on the Park, and was currently employed as a night auditor for Swiftcurrent Lodge in East Glacier Park, Montana. Survivors include his parents; a sister, Sharon (Steve) Roberson of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Richard of Minneapolis and David of Dane; a maternal grandmother, Adeline Ziegler of Waunkaee; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Bertilla Goeden of Dane; two nephews, Craig and Cory Roberson of Grand Prairie, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert in 1960; and his grandfather, Frank X. Ziegler. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 1987, at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Waunakee. Reverend Elmer Dietzel will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
