Funeral services were held March 2 for HARVEY C. BOLTE, 59, at the Silver City Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. E. LeRoy Pullman. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Charles Stevens, organist, and Mrs. Norman Graham, pianist. Mr. and Mrs. Donald O'Rourke attended the Memorial Register Book. Jack Burgoln, Eugene Buffington, Robert Fisher and Eurel Ander-son served as ushers. The flower bearers were Mrs. James Boyer, Mrs. Gary Miller, Mrs. Harold Skerritt, Mrs. Robert Fisher, Mrs. Marvin Richter and Mrs. Paul Wilton. Casket bearers were James Borer, Gary Miller, Harold Skerritt, Norman Graham, Marvin Richter, and Paul Wilson. Interment was in the Silver City Cemetery.

Harvey Claudius Arthur Bolte, the eldest son of Otto Henry Bolte and LuLu Louise Rohr, was born on November 1, 1911, on a farm near Treynor, and passed away Saturday, February 27, following the accident at the Silver City Railroad crossing, at the age of 59.

On August 17, 1932 he was united in marriage with Edna Blanche Decker of rural Silver City, and they began their married life at a home southwest of Silver City, only one half mile from their present home.

Harvey was one of the early leaders of the Ingraham Straight Shooters 4-H Club and has served many years on the Mills County Fair Board. He served as a member of the Mills County Extension Committee, the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Committee, a member of both the Purebred Chester-White Breeders Association and the American Angus Association. He served as Chairman of the Silver City United Methodist Church Board for nine years.

Harvey has been preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Edna; his daughter, Waunita, Mrs. Dwayne Reinert; his son-in-law, Dwayne Reinert, rural Silver City; three grandsons, Timmy, Ty, and Trent Reinert; one granddaughter, Trisha Reinert. He is also survived by six brothers, Delmer of Council Bluffs; Clarence of Silver City; Irwin of Council Bluffs; Albert of New Orleans, Loulsana; Glen of Council Bluffs; and Richard of Waverly, Iowa; one uncle, Fred Bolte of Downey, California and one aunt, Mrs. Dora Ensign of Tucson, Arizona; as well as nephews, and nieces.
