She was born on Nov. 2, 1943, in Paris, Texas, to the late Jess Thomas and Samintha Beaver Craig. She moved to Tyler when she was 5 years old. She attended Pine Springs School and Tyler High School before moving to Abilene in 1959. She married the love of her life, Charles O'Neal and moved back to Tyler to begin their family. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the family business, O'Neal Landscape. She and her husband recently moved to Wichita Falls to be near their daughter and family. She was a member of 10th and Broad Church of Christ in Wichita Falls and former member of West Erwin Church of Christ in Tyler. She will be remembered for her sweet, quiet spirit and tremendous faith and determination. She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Thomas Craig, in 1977, and mother, Samintha Beaver Craig, in 1988, and daughter, Kimberly O'Neal Carpenter, in 1998.
She is survived by her husband of 46 1/2 years, Charles O'Neal of Wichita Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Annette O'Neal of Whitehouse; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Jim Bell of Wichita Falls; brother, Judge Larry Craig of Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Bobby Meigs of Houston; mother-in-law, Louise O'Neal of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Patrick, Brandon and Morgan O'Neal, all of Whitehouse, and Katie and Clayton Bell, both of Wichita Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.
Pallbearers are Jack Blaschke, Steve Barr, Gary Halbrooks, Craig Halbrooks, Carter Halbrooks and Jody Meigs.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
