After Rebecca's death Zachariah Connell married a Miss Wallace, a sister of "Aunt Jenny" Wallace, who was long and well known in later years as the keeper of the toll-bridge across the Youghiogheny River.
Zachariah died 26 Aug 1813 aged 72 years at his stone house on Grave Street, and was buried near the residence of John Freeman, "Where his remains still rest near those of his TWO WIVES", and where a broken slab marks the last resting-place of the founder of Connellsville. ref: History of Fayette Co., PA by Franklin Ellis 1882 Name's Zachariah Connell's 1st wife as Ann Crawford - Ann Crawford is his sister-in-law not his wife.
