DOWNS. -(PNS)— Miss Elizabeth Jane Adams, 82, died at 3 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's hospital in Bloomington after an illness of several months.
The body was taken to the Stensel funeral home at Leroy and will be returned to Downs at 1 p. m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Downs Methodist church. The Rev. H. Weldon Batty will conduct the services. Music will be furnished by Mrs. E. C. Williams and Theodore Davis. Burial will be in Hopewell cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mlles K. Young, Asa Savage, E. L. Weaver, John Bozarth, Forrest Cole and John Moury. Active pallbearers will be Henry Baker, Arthur Dooley, Harry Young, Edward Simpson, Ira Kazar and Henry Fltchorn.
Miss Adams was born July 10, 1858 In Washington county, Pa., the daughter of Washington and Martha Adams. She came with her parents to Illinois when she was 7 years old and settled west of Downs. She attended Illinois Wesleyan university.
The only survivors are a brother, Alfred D of Downs and a niece, Mrs. Mabel Downer of Letts, Ia.
