Elizabeth "Beth" George Allen, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Reeves George, died March 13, 2015, at her home after an extended illness.
Beth was a homemaker, a nurse for 40 years (last 20 years at Jenkins County Hospital), Sunday School teacher and a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. She lived her life always caring for others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Allen, her parents, and her brother, Bill George. She was also preceded by Jack and Vivian Trawick, who gave Beth the foundation, love and support needed in this life.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p. m. Sunday at Union Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Pettis officiating.
She is survived by three sons: James Kenneth Allen, II (Autumn); William Joseph Allen (Peggy); and Justin Holt Allen (Julie). Other survivors include her grandchildren: Selena Allen, Scarlett Allen, Addison Akridge, Jacob Moody, Jackson Allen, Vivian Allen, Abby Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Kristen Freeman (Corey), Katie Brandon; two great grandchildren, Lexi Freeman and Waylon Brandon Brown: two nieces, Tracy Edwards, Amanda Davis; and her special friend, Aggie.
