Kenneth L. Knuffman, 50, of 3319 Lindell Avenue, died at 1:04 p.m. Tuesday (July 4, 1995) in Blessing Hospital.
He was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Quincy, a son of Lawrence and Catherine Zanger Knuffman. He married Jessie Gamble Wemhoener March 17, 1979, in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Knuffman had worked at Electric Wheel for several years and then was employed by Prairie Farm Dairy for 15 years. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and a member of its We Care Society. He was a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Leukemia Society and the Q City Outlaws.
Survivors also include his parents of Liberty; two sons, Robert Knuffman of Columbus and Todd Wemhoener of Bloomington; three daughters, Mrs. Kent (Christina) Vonderheide and Mrs. Karl (Tammy) Carman, both of Quincy, and Mrs. Christopher (Rebecca) Nutting of Cibolo, Texas; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Knuffman of Columbus and Lindsay Carman and Brooke Vonderheide, both of Quincy; a brother, Richard Knuffman of Liberty; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Marilyn) Heberlein and Mrs. David (Donna) Goehl, both of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy and at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty by the Rev. Tony Thieman and the Rev. Louis Shea. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 tonight, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy.
Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospital for oncology services.
