Rev. Douglas Kelly Offield, 67, of 565 Offield
Hollow Rd., Bristol, Tn. died Wednesday,
Feb. 12, 1992 in Bristol Regional Medical
Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan Co.,
a retired employee of Grey's Hosiery Mill
and a veteran of W.W. II.
He was a member of Friendship Freewill
Baptist Church and had pastored several
area churches.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred
Rouse Offield;
Two sons; Paul Silas Offield , Abingdon
Va., and Douglas Elmer Offield, Bristol.
Two daughters Mary Jane Meredith,
Knoxville and Sandra Jean Johnson,
Bristol.
Three sisters, Mrs. Goldie Trivette, Mrs.
Hazel Hunigan, Mrs. Mary Christian all
of Bristol.
One brother, J. W. Offield, Bristol
Nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren
four great grandchildren, one step great
grandchild and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral Services:
Will be conducted at 2 pm, Friday in
Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. Billy Wayne Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in the Rust Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hunigan,
Blaine Hunigan, Paul Offield, David Black,
Gary Offield, and Mark Meredith.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm
