Rose M. Bruce, 88, of Evansville passed away at 10:13 pm, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Transcendent Health Care North in Boonville.
Rose was born September 16, 1926 in Evansville the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Peter) Fahrer and was a 1944 graduate of Bosse High School. She was a 42 year member of Nativity Catholic Church. Rose retired in 1971 from National City Bank after 37 years of service.
She and her late husband, Jimbo loved to go to the Carousel Restaurant where they loved to talk and see old friends.
She is survived by his daughters, Pat Buttry of Boonville, IN and Pam Richter (Ken) of Evansville; sister, Jeanette Warnos of Gaylord, MI; grandchildren, Chad Buttry, James Taylor (Beth) and Nicole Herdis (Kevin); great grandchildren, Allie, Elyse and Olivia Buttry, Blake, Brooke and Baylor Herdis, and Hunter, Ryan and Ben Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 45 years, James “Jimbo” Bruce in 2014 and siblings, Helen Clements and John and Robert Fahrer.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Nativity Catholic Church, 3635 Pollack Ave. Evansville, IN with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Evansville.
Friends may call from 3 pm until 7 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN and again from 9 am until time of Mass at 10 am, Friday, at Nativity Catholic Church.
