Mrs. Myers moved with her parents, Robert and Susan Badger, to Stevenson county, Illinois, in 1859 where they resided until 1870, when they moved to Panther, Dallas County, Iowa. Sister Badger was married to Albert Myers, Jan. 1, 1880. This union was blessed with three sons and three daughters. One daughter died in infancy, Robert Myers of Solid, Montana, and Mary Shaffer, John A. Myers, Orv S. Myers and Clara E. Myers are all residing in Dallas county. Sister Myers' affliction began nine years ago, but for the past 14 months she has suffered untold misery. She had 30 strokes of paralysis in that time. Monday at five o'clock her spirit passed quietly to the great beyond, while resting in the arms of her husband.
Thus a devoted mother, an affectionate wife and a consecrated Christian has gone to her reward, leaving besides her husband and children, one sister, three brothers, Samuel Badger of Manvel, Texas, Watson Badger and Mrs. Armagost of this community, to mourn her departure. But what is our loss is her eternal gain. Funeral sermon was preached by Rev. M. Deardorff of Yale from Psalms 128 and Rev. 24-4. The services were attended by a large crowd of sympathising friends, and interment was in the Panther cemetery, July 14.
