Florence Rose Burlile, 83, died of a broken heart some eight months after losing her loving husband Milton on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at a care center in Nampa. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4th at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1515 8th St. S., Nampa, ID 83651. Arrangements are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel in Meridian. Florence was born in Montgomery, Minn., during the depression years where she was raised until she graduated from high school. She moved to Lovelock, Nev. after her graduation, towards the end of WW II. Florence was married in 1945 and bore her first child, Ernie in 1946. She and her first husband divorced in 1949. During the time of her first marriage, she worked as a checker at Safeway in Lovelock. Florence was an active member of the Nevada Women's Softball League, where she was a star shortstop. Florence was known for her aggressive play and running of the bases. Florence married Milton E. Burlile in Reno, Nev. in 1955. They had two children together; Leonard E. Burlile and Ann Mary Burlile. The family moved to Nampa, Idaho in August of 1958. Florence was a loving woman who always had a smile on her face. Florence is survived by Ernie Burlile, 60, of Sacramento, Calif., and his wife, Lynn; Leonard Burlile, 50, of Boise, Idaho and his wife, Kathy; Ann Benger, 46 of Nampa, Idaho; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Claude Burlile and his wife, Charlotte; brother-in-law, Roland "Doc" Belanger, Sr., and several nieces and nephews across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents and ten brothers and sisters, Husband, Milton E. Burlile who died in Nampa, Idaho in July , 2005 an son-in-law Chris Benger in July 2004. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donation to the American Diabetes Association.
