The Rev. Joel Arthur Joslin, 91, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Wednesday, November 10, 1993, at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. He was a Freewill Baptist minister, a farmer and retired employee of Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Catcher Freewill Baptist Church and had been an ordained Freewill Baptist minister since 1921. He organized the Catcher Freewill Baptist Church near Van Buren in 1930 and re-organized it in 1943. He also assisted in the organization of several other Freewill Baptist Churches in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

Funeral services was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Catcher Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Chronister, the Rev. Burl Osborne and the Rev. Fred Warner officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery.

He is survived by six daughters; two sons; five sisters; one brother; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren;.

Funeral arrangements were made by Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
