Paul W. Andert was born at Glenwood, Minn., June 18, 1892, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Andert. He attended the local schools near Alberta, and was in the first graduating class of Morris Agr. school.
He was united in marriage to Agnes Aanerud. To this union, two daughters were born. She preceded him in death in Sept. 1937.
On March 31, 1944 he was married to Doline Murray at Morris. One daughter was born to this union.
Mr. Andert spent most of his time farming, but also worked several years for the Olson Furniture Company at Morris. Later he was employed at the Alexandria Hotel.
Mr. Andert died at the Douglas County Hospital at Alexandria, Jan. 19, 1965 at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 1 day. Surviving are his wife, Doline; three daughters: Polly (Mrs. Lee Hedstrom) of Alexandria; Ann (Mrs. Keith Bowmen) of Kennedy; Virginia (Mrs. Dale Martin) of Buena Park, Calif.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; four sisters and one brother: Annie (Mrs. Schlattman), Ida (Mrs. Strubbe), Miss May Andert, all of Alberta, Minn.; Lena (Mrs. Gausman) and Frank Andert of Morris, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Fred.
Funeral services were held January 23, 1965 from the First Congregational church, Rev. Paul Dahlstrom officiating. Interment was in Kinkead cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers were Lyle Frank, James Noonan, Charles Bergner, Howard Gassman, Eugene Anderson and Lee Schultz.
