Born on September 20, 1940, in Henderson, Texas to Joseph Clinton and Pauline Horton Windham. A graduate of the University of North Texas, he was a retired educator from Gladewater Independent School District.
He enjoyed traveling, camping, and Southern Gospel singing conventions as well spending time with his family especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nita Kay Hunter. Also surviving are sons: Scott and Karrie Windham of Denton, Texas and Brian and Janet Windham of Midlothian, Texas. Grandchildren: Blake and Rebecca Windham of Houston, Texas, Andrew Joseph Windham and Joshua Windham of Midlothian, Texas.
