David R. Abner, 55, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Especially Kidz Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 8, 1948, in Shelbyville, he was the son of William C. and Laura Mae (Phipps) Abner.
Survivors include one sister, JoAnn (husband, John) Cooper of Manilla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Abner was a lifelong Shelbyville resident.
He had been employed at Shares Inc.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dan Thurston and John Cooper officiating.
Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery in Shelby County.
