OBITUARY-
Bruce David Braaten, age 62, of Austin, Minn. died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at his home in Austin, Minn.
He was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Columbia, S.C., the son of Blaine and Doris (Davidson) Braaten. Bruce attended Austin Public Schools, graduating from Austin High School in 1962 after which he attended Dunwoody Institute, Minneapolis. He was employed at Austin Bakery and Usem's. He enjoyed computer games, gambling and cooking.
He is survived by his father, Blaine; brothers: Doug (Linda), Austin, Minn.; Terry (Ginger), Tempe, Ariz.; and Michael Braaten, Austin, Minn.; sister, Mickie Hendricks, Phoenix, Ariz.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2006, at Oakwood Cemetery for close friends and relatives with the Rev. Dan Kahl officiating.
The family prefers memorials to the family in lieu of flowers.
