OBITUARY: THE ANTHON HERALD, 10 DECEMBER 1987, PAGE 3: Catherine A. Foley, 91, of Anthon died Friday, December 4, 1987, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. Gerald Zensen officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Anthon, under direction of Walter Funeral Home. Mrs. Foley, daughter of George Louis and Anna (Roark) Chausse, was born September 16, 1896, near Anthon. She lived her entire life in the Anthon area. She moved into Anthon in 1921. She married Lewis Foley October 30, 1928, at Anthon. She and her husband owned and operated Foley's Market in Anthon for six years. He died in 1970. She was associated with the Walter Funeral Home as their telephone answering service for twenty-five years. She was a resident of Colonial Manor Nursing Home and Green Acres Nursing Home for the past two years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers.
