Hiram Thomas Epps, 88, Dies at Piedmont Home
Hiram Thomas Epps, 88, died Wednesday, August 1, 1945, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his son, Sam Epps, 205 Anniston Avenue, Piedmont, after a long illness.
Funeral services were Thursday, August 2 at 4:00 p.m. at the residence with Rev. R. E. Hood officiating. Burial was in Piedmont Cemetery with Usrey in charge.
Mr. Epps, a native of Petersburg, Tennessee, was survived b one daughter, Mrs. May Armstrong of Jacksonville, Florida; three sons, Sam Epps of Piedmont, George Epps of Norfolk, Virginia, and Tom Epps of Thomasville, Georgia; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
