Gwendolyn Gass 14 January 1915 - March 7, 2002, 87 of New Britain, a former Newington resident, diedThursday, 7 March 2002 at Walnut Hill Convalescent Home. She was the widow of James William Gass. Born in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Leroy Hazelton and Avis Gilman. She was a former New Britain and Newington resident before moving back to New Britain several years ago. She was formerly employed for 25 years at Guida Siebert Dairy and was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Walter Haberski of Uncasville; a son Christopher Wright of Canada; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 6 greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen FuneralHome, 411 S. Main St, New Britain. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Marks Episcopal Church,147 West Main St, New Britain.
