Funeral services for Edward J. Urbanek, 64, longtime Two Creeks tavern operator, who died early Tuesday morning at St. Mary Hospital, Milwaukee, will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, the Rev. Donald Feller officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Urbanek and was born Sept. 9, 1900, at Two Creeks, son of the late Joseph and Sophia Lodel Urbanek, and spent his entire life in the village. For many years he was the sponsor of the community’s softball team in the County League and was a member for many years of the February Club of Two Rivers. Also he was a former member of the Two Rivers Lions Club.
Besides his wife, the former Eva Lehrmann of Two Creeks township whom he married at Manitowoc July 31, 1918, he leaves a daughter, Florence, at home; a son, Donald, of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Martha Shedivy, of Two River; three brothers, Ben and Louis, of Two Rivers and Charles, of Manitowoc and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 9 o’clock this Wednesday evening.
