Barbara Jean Elliott Brown was an incredible mother and lady. She made a lot of sacrifices in her life for her son, parents and others over her 67 years of life here on this Earth. She was a devoted follower of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and taught those values to her son and expressed them to others as well. Born on Feb 18, 1931 to her loving parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ray D. Elliott, she later graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga. She went on to business school at the University of Chattanooga (now the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga). She worked as an executive secretary throughout her career at various construction companies and then at a church in Chattanooga for the last 16 or so years before retiring a little early due to health issues. Even though she worked full time and also did other jobs on the side to help support her son and parents, she found time to be homeroom mother chairman during most of her son's elementary school years. So many of his friends saw her as a second mother to themselves as well.
