Juanita was born in Stamford, Texas, to the late Jack L. and Ruby E. Darden. She was formerly employed by Texas Life Insurance Company in Waco for over 34 years, having retired from there in January 1990. She attended Hewitt Church of Christ at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E. Pitcher; a son, Mike; and her daughter Suzie Derrick.
Survivors include sons, Jack and wife, Kathy, of Waco, and Bill and wife, Karen, of Spring; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Pitcher, of Carrollton; and son-in-law Tommy Derrick, of Riesel; granddaughters, Terry Forbes, of Kansas City, Elisa Rossi, of Denton, Amy Stanford, of Waco, and Kristi Ziegelt, of Waco; eight grandsons, Jack Pitcher, Jr., Mickey Pitcher, Garrick Pitcher, Bo Pitcher, James Rossi, Charles Pitcher, Kyle Ziegelt, and Kris Stanford; and five great-grandchildren.
