Stanley Wayne 'Curly' Calame

Stanley “Curly” Calame, 73, of Dallas, formerly of Corsicana, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. He was born June 15, 1941 in Mexia to Cleo and Louetta Ilene Ingram Calame.

Curly worked for Chattanooga Glass Company for 18 years and then went on to work for Navarro County, precinct 4 for a number of years until he retired at age 62. Curly looked forward to his gardening but mostly enjoyed relaxing with his friends and family. He will be truly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; parents and sisters; Oudia Jonell Calame Lamb and Lisa Diane Calame.
Mr. Calame is survived by his children; Stanley Wayne Calame, Jr. of Richardson, Christi Calame Porter of Waxahachie, and Adam Calame of McKinney. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and sister, Mickie Calame King of Round Rock, and brother, Starley Calame of Tehuacana and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Corley Funeral Home with Rev. Langston Layne officiating. Burial will follow at Tehuacana Cemetery. Pallbearers are Westley Calame, Matt Calame, Will Calame, Christian Calame, Starley Calame and Brian Schronk.
