She was born on April 18, 1961, the daughter of Gerald H. McCain and Phyllis (Balting) Hilkene. She married David Conrad on Sept. 19, 1981, and he survives.
She was a 1979 graduate of Shelbyville High School and was a member of National Honor Society, Sunshine Club and Spanish Club.
Mrs. Conrad was employed at Chicken and Steak for several years, and later with National City Bank in the trust department until 1993.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her parents; one daughter, Emily Conrad; stepfather, Larry Hilkene; and stepmother, Judy McCain, all of Shelbyville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, with the Rev. Corlis Dees officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
