Beth Butterfield Densley 1925 ~ 2006 Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Beth Butterfield Densley, passed through the veil May 16, 2006, after battling metastic cancer. She was born May 4, 1925 in Herriman, Utah to George Nephi and Eunice Ameret Freeman Butterfield. Beth was raised in Herriman and attended Jordan schools. She married John Archie Densley on June 23, 1942. They had a son DeVoy Archie in 1943. Beth went to Louisiana to be closer to her husband stationed from there in the U.S. Army. After World War II, they lived in Riverton. Their precious son, DeVoy, was killed on Memorial Day 1946. The Lord blessed them with three more sons, Paul John; and twins, LaVar George and LaMar Edwin. The family moved to Murray after a fire burned their house in Lark, Utah while the three boys were still babies. Beth helped raise the three boys as a Cub Scout Den mother, and helping John (with neighbors) start a Little and Babe Ruth Baseball Leagues in Murray. She worked at Greyhound Bus in Salt Lake City as a pillow girl for two years. Beth was active in her LDS Ward in Primary and Relief Society. John and Beth were married and sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 26, 1957. John and Beth moved to Los Gatos, California in 1969 where she worked at San Jose State College Library for six years. She moved back to Riverton, Utah in 2003 with her son, LaVar. Beth was a member of the Harvest Park 2nd LDS Ward in the Fort Herriman Stake in Riverton. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, John Archie; and one son, DeVoy. Survivors are her sons, Paul John and LaNeen Densley, Tracy, California; LaMar Edwin and JoAnn Densley, Idaho Falls, Idaho; LaVar George Densley, Riverton, Utah; six Grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nephi and Douglas Butterfield, Herriman, Utah; Jewel and Steve Madsen, Golda and Jack Winward, Riverton, Utah. Funeral services will be Sat., May 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Harvest Park 2nd Ward Chapel 4601 W. 11800 S, Riverton, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State St. Friday 6-8 p.m. or Sat. at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
