Bert Howard Armstrong, 96, died of natural causes on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family.He was born May 19, 1918 in Glasgow, Montana to Andrew and Hazel Armstrong. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1936.He married Florence Audrey Billingsley on August 1, 1936. They raised their family in Northeastern Montana. He served in the Army and earned the Silver Star while fighting in Europe during WWII. He worked for Buttrey Foods for 41 years, retiring in Idaho Falls in 1980.During the summers he could be found in Island Park fishing and cutting wood. He was a 50 year member of North Star Lodge #46 and an active 50 year member in Henrietta Chapter #21 Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Dawn Barnes (Boise, ID); son, Charles H. and Bernadine Armstrong (Mechanicsburg, PA); 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.A celebration of his life will be shared at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Red Rock Christian Church, 1124 S.
