Roy Knefelkamp, 61, of No. 25 Via Como died Wednesday morning at his home. He had been ill for the past five years. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a family prayer service at 1:15 in the church chapel. The Rev. Paul Bittner will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mr. Knefelkamp was born Jan. 12, 1916, on a farm north of Grand Island. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Knefelkamp. After completing his schooling he farmed north of Grand Island. On Sept. 15, 1940, he married Erma Helbrecht at Grand Island. They made their home on the farm until 1962, when they moved into Grand Island. Mr. Knefelkamp then was employed by Massey-Ferguson, Inc., until his retirement five years ago because of ill health. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his widow; three sons, Robert of Littleton, Colo., LaMoine of Silver Springs, Md., and Keith of Golden Valley, Minn.; his parents of Grand Island; a brother, Fred of Grand Island; a sister, Mrs. Martin Dankert of Omaha, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
