Cyrus W. Clifton born in Owen County, KY. In 1880 Census with wife Ann Walton Clifton & Children:
James, Pennie , John & Jennie. He was noted as a pioneer blacksmith in Randolph County, MO history.
June 15, 1861 he enlisted in the 3rd Regiment Infantry, Mo. Confederate Army. Some time after the 1870 census he moved to Greenwood and was appointed U S Postmaster January 2, 1879.
