Frederica M. Walker, 89, of Kelim died at her home Thursday (July 10) after a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday (July 12) at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Glenn Brown of the Church of the Good Shepherd and Preston Childress of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Loveland Burial Park.
She was born Nov. 19, 1890, in Chatfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Daniel D. and Lavina (Bauer) Brose.
In 1916 she graduated from Northwestern Central College of Naperville, Ill.
Mrs. Walker married George A Walker Aug 21, 1917, in Chatfield, Her husband died Dec. 28, 1974.
The Walkers came to this area in 1917 and farmed until 1924, when they established and operated Walker Farm Implements at Kelim until Mr. Walker's death.
She is survived by two sons, Rolland Walker of Sacramento, Calif., and Willard Walker of Kelim; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Walker Mosher of Stanford, Calif.; two brothers, Mike Brose of Chatfield and Daniel Brose of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Ida Michelfelder and Elizabeth Lust, both of Bucyrus, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, and a charter member of the Kelim-Koenig Club.
Memorial gifts may be made to the church of the Good Shepherd or to the Salvation Army, in care of the Hunter Funeral Home.
