KINGSPORT- Everette Head, 88, passed away Friday (February 27, 2015) at the Wexford House following an extended illness.

Mr. Head was a native of Saint Charles, Virginia but had spent most of his life in Hawkins and Sullivan Counties. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the US Army, Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Broyhill Industries.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Byington Head, his parents, W. T. & Cornie Maness Head, brothers, Roy, Charlie, Earl, Ralph E., and Clarence Head, sisters, Ruby and Rosie.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Wix, Kingsport; several grandchildren; one sister, Mossie Mellons, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 12 to 2:00 P.M. Monday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gene Head officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by the Hawkins County Color Guard and Tennessee National Guard will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.
