Angela Renee Marx was born February 21, 1985 in Prosser, WA to Franklin and Carol (Mason) Marx. She passed away on December 15, 2013 near Cougar, WA after her car became stranded in the snow in the mountains she loved.
As a preschooler Angela developed a fascination for the violin, and started taking lessons just before she turned five, with a tiny 1/16th size violin. She spent ten years studying with Linda Peterson of Yakima. In middle school she joined the Yakima Youth Symphony, and enjoyed playing at church, for weddings and other special occasions, accompanied by her mother and sometimes her siblings. She loved classical music, but also dabbled in fiddling. At times she would give impromptu recitals for friends or family, knowing that her music made people happy.
Hiking and camping with her family in the mountains or at the ocean were among her favorite activities. In recent years, she and her mother hiked on Mt. Rainier whenever they could. She was very in tune with nature, and as a young teen worked with the NW Youth Corps for two summers, repairing trails in the forests of Washington and Oregon.
Good with animals, and especially fond of cats, she volunteered at the Benton-Franklin Humane Society. She had two adopted cats of her own, who followed her closely, sometimes even going on hikes with her.
She was always willing to help where needed. One summer she volunteered as a kitchen worker at the Boy Scout camp at Mission Ridge.
A curious and intelligent young lady with big ideas and dreams, she did a lot of research into the workings of the cosmos, and was always up for a debate on important issues. After overcoming difficult obstacles to graduate from Prosser High School in 2005, she wanted to go to college and have a career helping people or animals.
Anticipating her mother's future retirement in two years, she dreamed of the two of them hiking and camping all around Washington, and making a road trip across the country all the way to Maine. A trip to France was also in the planning.
When her grandfather fell in May and was hospitalized for many weeks, Angela stepped up and took care of her grandma, and was a big help to Grandpa when he came home, doing yard work and chores and fixing things around the house.
She had a passion for video games which she shared with her older brothers. She looked up to her older sister and was eagerly looking forward to being an auntie to her sister's new baby.
For many years, every Mother's Day she would spend hours, usually in the hot sun, planting dozens of colorful petunias in her mom's back yard.

Angela is survived by her mother, Carol Marx of Prosser; two brothers, David Marx of Prosser and Daniel Marx of Spokane; one sister, Jennifer Vacovsky and brother-in-law Joseph Vacovsky of Atascadero, CA; her newborn niece, Cora Rose Vacovsky; her grandmother, Cora Mason of Prosser; her Uncle Chuck and Aunt Trish Mason of Whidbey Island, and cousins, Randy (Heidi), Rylie and Charlie Mason of Gig Harbor and Hattie and Pam Mason of Seattle.
She also leaves behind two special friends, Ashleigh Thompson of Prosser, and Marc Pachexzco of Minnesota, and her beloved cats, Diki and Sarah.

Angela was her family's Baby Girl, our dear angel. Her restless mind is now at peace as she lies in the arms of her Savior. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
