Nellie Jewell Duke was the daughter of Raymond Eugene Duke and Zelma Ione Ward Duke. She was the oldest of 10 children. She was married to Ernest Sorrells in 1947 and to Raymond Johnson 1970. Nellie was the mother of Ernest, Ronald, Mamie Lou ( only lived 5 days ), and Jerry Sorrells. Nellie worked in the cotton mill in Roswell, Fulton Co, Georgia in her early adult life. She was a wonderful cook and was a dog lover. After marrying Raymond she was a housewife until her passing. She is loved and missed by many.
