Morris Allen Robinson, son of Ned and Sallie Robinson, was born near Glendale, Ill., August 15th, 1855; departed this life at his home near Simpson, Ill., September 2, 1927, aged 72 years and 18 days.

He was married to Martha C. Dickens October 3, 1877, and to this union 12 children were born, 11 of whom, with their mother, are left to mourn his death. William R. and Ernest H. have preceded him to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn his departure, a loving companion, Martha C. Robinson, Andrew J., Mrs. Sophronia Butler, Newton A., Mrs. Sarah M. Palmer, Walter H. and Olin W., all of Simpson, Ill.; Morris J., Edward C., Raymond R., of Cairo, Ill.; Mrs. Lydia M. Sullivan and Mike of Glendale, Ill., also 37 grandchildren, other near relatives and a host of friends.

He professed faith in Christ many years ago and united with the Missionary Baptist church, at Mt. Zion, near Rock, Ill., but in later years was baptized into the Primitive Baptist church at Rock Springs, where he remained faithful.

Funeral services were held at Glendale church, conducted by Rev. N. A. Rodgers, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Glendale cemetery, to await the resurrection of all who peacefully rest therein.
