My Son Eddie, was the youngest of 3 children. He has 2 beautiful sisters "Anne Marie" & "Cora". He was on his way up to surprise his stepdad & I with a visit when he was killed in the early hours of November 4th 2005 just outside of Halifax In A Car Crash. As a mom I Believe it is the most devastating news a mother could ever get. His very good friend Christy survived the crash but the Lord took my son home with him that night.

When Eddie was small I use to say to him "I love you more than" and he would would finish it by saying in his small voice " the whole wide world".I kept this tradition up to the day he passed away by signing all of his birthday cards etc. in this manner. Now when I get up in the morning I kiss his picture, light his candle and tell him good morning handsome "I love you more than the whole wide world and I miss you even more". I do the same at night when I say goodnight to him and his stepdad follows by saying "me too bud" and this is so true we do miss him more than the whole wide world.

We have two wonderful daughters Anne & Cora & one beautiful precious granddaughter Marissa, who will be three October 6th, and now when I tell her "I love you more than" she finishes it by saying in her small voice" the whole wide world". Eddie couldn't wait to become an uncle and he thought the world of Marissa, he couldn't have been more proud of her then as if she was his own. Our daughter Cora Leah will make us all very proud again in October of this year 2006 and we are all hoping she has a boy this time however, regardless of the sex we will love this grandchild just as much. They are precious gifts from God, and I feel truely Blessed that God chose me to have such three beautiful children that I could never be more proud of.

Eddie lived for his family and friends,he loved to make people laugh and he always found a way to, even when you were at your lowest. He use to like to surprise his grandmother with a visit (the old doll}which he liked to call her, and she didn't mind one bit. They use to always have a game of cribbage and another one of their pass times would be to sit and discuss the Bible. Don't get me wrong Eddie loved to party as well as the next 24 year old guy but he was an ardent beleiver. One of his other favorite hobbies was music, he loved to dance and sit and play his guitar around the bomb fire, every time I would visit him he would play Over The Hills and Far Away for me it's one of my favorites.Eddie also loved to swim, he was like a fish in the water.I remember when he was only around 6 years old, he would jump off of the very bowe of our cabin criuser. Our friends use to call him Eddie the eagle.

To My Sweet Son Eddie, This one is for you, " I Love You More Than The Whole Wide World & I Miss You Even More"

Love Always, ~ Mom ~

Tears In November
To our Son and Brother who had to leave that night in
the cold November rain,
You were taken from us in a car accident
That has caused us so much pain.

Our dear Eddy, who meant so much to everyone,
We try not to be so sad
But you are part of us,
We've cried so much, the need to believe,
And stay strong is a must.
You will hold our hands to lead us
To see you again in the sky above,
We have you here in our hearts
Which aches from all our love.

Your kind words and warm hugs,
The smile that everyone loved,
The happiness you brought to so many,
God bless you Eddy.
We were so proud to have you,
Your strength, confidence and courage,
You had the heart to nourish.

We still miss you everyday,
Many prayers for you we'll say,
We Love You Ed,
Our dear son,our brother and our friend.
