WINTERSET - A funeral for Harold S. Loose, 94, of Winterset was held June 1, 1994 at Fisher Funeral Home at Adel, with burial following at Waukee Cemetery at Waukee. Mr. Loose died of a respiratory ailment on May 28 at Winterset Care Center North.

The son of Walter and Blanche Loose, he was born Oct. 9, 1899 at Des Moines. He married Nellie Irene Vernon at Des Moines on Dec. 24, 1922.

Mr. Loose was a salesman in various lines of business who lived most of his life in the Waukee area. He had resided at Winterset since 1985. He was a member of the Waukee Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife; by his parents; by a daughter, Charlotte; by a brother, Don; and by a sister, Elsie.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Schamerhorn of Truro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
