OBITUARY :
MOTHER PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY - Mrs. Lilliebelle Beard Sustains Fatal Attack Late Last Night

MRS. LILLIEBELLE (VOWELS) BEARD, wife of Marshall M. Beard, died very suddenly last night at 10:30 o'clock at her home, 611 Clayton avenue. She was aged 32 years, 7 months and 11 days.

The deceased was in failing health for several years, suffering from a complication of diseases and nervous trouble, but she had not been confined to her bed. She sustained the fatal attack while sitting in the parlor of her home and died in about ten minutes, before a hastily summoned physician reached her side. Mrs. Beard moved to Waynesboro with her family from Wayne Heights only two days ago.

She was a native of Owenboro, Kentucky, in which place she was married to Mr. Beard March 31, 1908. Her parents, who survive her, are now residents of Owenboro. Her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Vowels reached the Beard home for a visit only a few hours before Mrs. Beard's death. The deceased was a member of the Southern Presbyterian church in Kentucky.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by five small children: Lilliebelle, aged 9; Mary, 7; George, 5; John, 3, and Junior, 15 months. Also surviving her are four sisters and four brothers, all residents of Kentucky or other distant places.

Funeral services will be held at the house on Clayton avenue extended at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with Rev. D. D. Kauffman, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. Interment will be made in Burns Hill cemetery. Those who desire to do so may view the body during the hour between 7 and 8 o'clock Friday evening.
