Helen L. Farmer, 86, of Sallisaw was born March 31, 1928, to Wilbur and Nora Griffin of Oklahoma City. She married J.O. Farmer on Nov. 3, 1946, in Fort Smith. Mrs. Farmer was co-owner of Modern Home Appliance and a homemaker. She passed this life Jan. 15, 2015, in Sallisaw.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Roger Edgmon of Sallisaw; grandchildren, Scott and Shawna Farmer of Washington, Okla., Michael Edgmon of Sallisaw, Travis and Megumi Farmer of Kanagawa, Japan, and Larissa and Jason Kenyon of Sallisaw; great-grandchildren, Blaze and Brynn Farmer of Washington, Kyle and Luke Farmer of Kanagawa and Isla Kenyon of Sallisaw; two sisters, Wilburta Walker of Chouteau, Okla., and Alice Wenger of Edmond, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Thomas G. Farmer; and one brother, Perry Griffin.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Edgmon, Jason Kenyon, Scott Farmer, Blaze Farmer, Jerry Rogers and Craig Edgmon.
