A native of Jackson, he was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Pearl. He was a graduate of Pearl High Scool, where a football trophy was named in his honor. He was a brickmason in home construction.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Baker,; brothers, James Robert Baker, Billy Roy Baker and Danny Lee Baker; grandmother, Ida Huff of Flora and Coree Berry of Prentiss.
