Edith Lois Banks Hutcherson, 96, passed away February 25, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Edith was born in Independence, VA on September 1, 1918 to the late William Joseph Banks, Sr. and the late Bessie Reynolds Banks.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ophus Aron Hutcherson, Sr.; son, Charles William Hutcherson; brothers, Wayne Hansel, Elroy, William Joseph, Jr.; sisters, Eunice, Pauline, Christine and Juanita.
Survivors include her children, Ophus Aron Hutcherson, Jr, Betty H. Terry, Kenneth Ray Hutcherson ; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted March 1, 2015 in the Piney Forest Seven Day Adventist Church. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens.
