Died – Curtis – At Big Pine, Cal., August 3, 1905, Daniel Burrows Curtis, a native of Connecticut, aged 77 years.
A letter from Big Pine this morning announces the death of D. B. Curtis. The deceased was one of the earliest settlers in the Valley and a man always held high in the esteem and respect of his neighbors. At one time he was one of our most prosperous farmers, but through errors of judgment he lost most of his property. He was a sterling and conscientious democrat and a valued leader and counselor in his party. The funeral was at Big Pine today.
