James B. Youngston married Donna Mae Lewis.

James B. Youngston Sr., age 89 of Fostoria, died peacefully at 11:29 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Good Shepherd Home. Jim was born February 16, 1925 in Fostoria the son of Ben and A. Pearl (Ropp)Youngston, although he was later raised by his grandparents. He is survived by his children, Terrie (Ron) Fry of Michigan City, IN and Bill (Pam) Youngston of Spring, TX; sister, Jeannie Koons Fenimore of Findlay; grandchildren, Jamie (Lisa) Youngston of Corunna, MI, Shannon Youngston (Jerry) Hammer and Christian Youngston, both of Fostoria, Brent Fry of San Diego, CA, Ron (Alice) Fry of Midland, GA, Lindsay Fry (Jerry) Klemczak of New Carlisle, IN, Stephanie (Shane) Fry Lawrence of Michigan City, IN, Jim (Morgan) Youngston of Atlanta, GA, Chris (Jeff) Youngston-Gray of Baltimore, MD, Sandra Youngston of Austin, TX, Mercedes Youngston of Portland, OR and David Youngston of Olmstead Falls; twenty-five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Amos and Myrtle (Jones) Ropp; parents; wife, Donna Mae (Lewis) Youngston; sons, James B. (Bronwyn) and David L.(Jeanie) Youngston; and granddaughter, Katherine Youngston. Jim was a 1943 graduate of Fostoria High School. Shortly after graduation, he married Donna M. Lewis June 6, 1943 in Cleveland, OH. He later served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater aboard a landing craft in WWII. After serving his country, Jim worked for Autolite as a foreman and retired after 30 years of faithful service. He was an avid four handicap golfer and along with his wife, were longtime members of the Lakeland Golf Course. Jim was a loving, caring person who wanted the best for his children and family. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made
to Cure Alzheimers in memory of Jim's late wife, Donna M. Youngston, c/o the funeral home.
