Luther W. Cribb, Jr., 96, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015.
Luther was born on June 13, 1918 in Waycross, Georgia, and was a member of North View Methodist Church. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army Aircorp where he was a member of the 468th Bomb Group. While in the Army Luther was deployed on 13 combat missions on the island of Tinian. After his Army career he went to work on Robins Air Force Base as a planner and programmer until his retirement. Luther was also a former sports writer for the Daily Sun. He loved watching his son Bobby play basketball at Warner Robins High School.
His loving wife of 58 years, Cathryn Cribb, and parents, Luther and Ellen Danford Cribb, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Robert "Bobby" T. Cribb (Sylvia) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Angie Cribb Hamilton of Duluth, Julie Cribb Broadfield (Doug) of Lake Worth, Florida; great grandchildren, Johns Hamilton, Dawson Hamilton, Sydney Broadfield, Rowan Broadfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given In Memory of Luther W. Cribb, Jr to the Hospice of your choice.
