RALEIGH -- Allen Mack Dupree , 73, died Tuesday at Raleigh Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Crosby and Exzell Dupree . Allen was a Korean War Veteran and Pipefitter and Welder until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church, a member of Holland Chapter @#268, Order of the Eastern Star and William T. Bain Masonic Lodge @#231.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home chapel, Garner. Burial at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving: wife of 52 years, Laura Harris Dupree ; son, Andy Dupree and wife, Sheila Allen Dupree of Angier; daughter, Deborah Allen Dupree King and husband, Tommy of Snow Hill; sister, Alice D. Thompson and husband, Donald; four grandchildren, Amy King Davis, Emily King Wade, Matthew and Will Dupree ; great-granddaughter, Laura Grace Wade.
He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Dills and a brother Carlton Dupree .
The family will receive friends at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, 7-9 p.m. today and other times at the home, 3309 Mid Pines Rd.
